CimiBarbados
The goal of CIMI Barbados is to have a Central Location of CIMI in the Caribbean Islands. The Island of Barbados will serve as a pilot program. This will allow us to be able to measure the efficacy of the program and serve other caribbean islands in the process. Our main focus will be to provide outreach, counseling and workshops around the areas of STD’s & HIV/AIDS. Due to the increase of HIV/AIDS on the island we will seek to empower the communities at large to combat this epidemic.
We are also seeking to implement academic and athletic programs to assist local schools in accomplishing their goals of producing top students who can earn scholarships to further they education.
Fine Dining with Connie De’ Grill Master
One of the best kept secret in Barbados’ street vending. If you are travling to Barbados for business or pleasure which we do quite a bit here at CIMI due to our philantropic efforts on the island we always make it our business to pay our friend Connie “De Grill Master” a visit. Connie runs a four man show in the Paynes Bay area of St. James. He is located right in front of the Paynes Bay Pentecostal Church just two minute drive from the world’s famous Sandy Lane Beach Resort. Connie and crew serve up one of the most appetizing surf and turf menus. This grilling crew is known for stopping traffic and having some of the longest line on Thursday, Friday, & Saturday evenings from 7pm until the food is finish. It usually goes pretty fast.
The menu consist of fish platters, shrimp kebabbs, steak, ribs, & BBQ chicken just name a few. Prices range anywhere from $5-$28 Barbados Dollars ($2.50-$14 US Dollars)
Our personal fravorites are the Tuna and King Fish Platters.

PA System
Join CIMI Barbados as we are currently raising funds for The St. Leonard’s Boys School to purchase a new PA system for it’s School Hall. The current system is to small for the Hall and produces lots of echo and feedback, it is very difficult for the students to pay attention. This new system will make morning assembly/pray and school concerts worth attending. We need to raise $3500 to purchase the new PA System. We hope you can find it in your hearts to help us make a difference.
Health and Well-Being
CIMI Barbados in its efforts to implement a Health Education Program along with its Educational Program donated medical supplies to the Island Dialysis on Bay Street St. Michael, Barbados.
This was a spirited effort in support of the Dialysis unit staff and its patients.
Donated were several bags of saline, gauze, alcohol pads, band aids, syringes and dialysis needles.
We look forward to conducting health seminars in the near future on Kidney Disease and Dialysis.
Banner Presentation
The efforts at The St. Leonard’s Boys’ School continued on June 16th, 2009 as the Founder and Co-Founder of CIMI donated a 12 foot Banner to the school for its Hall. The banner was presented to the Principle Joseph King, Vice Principle Karl Rawlins and the Chairman Rickie Harrison. The banner was donated as a reminder to the students of the school of what the school was founded upon: Fear God, Think Clean, Aim High.
We believe that the more the students visualize the mission of the school the more they will be able to embrace it subconsciously and over a period of time will affect the student’s performance.

Motivational Workshops
December 2008 CIMI Founder and Co-Founder visited the St. Leonard’s Boys School for a motivational workshop this workshop was geared to senior students of 5th form. (5th form students are ages 15-16)
Barbados Academic Achievement Awards
A presentation of awards that continues on an annual basis in effort to increase school participation. The awards will serve as an incentive to encourage these students to continue to do well in regards to their academics.
In 2008 we choose the five students that showed the highest level of academic improvement at the St. Leonard’s Boys School.
